Winter Frikkin' Already

Today was gray and dreary and cold. I've been running the space heater in this office all day. I may start wearing longjohns in a day or two if this cold keeps going strong. Overnight it was theoretically cold enough to freeze our water pipes...but it didn't look like it happened ( Read more... )

I've always wondered why, here, cars can have a millimeter of ice on them, and yet our pipes remain intact. *shrug* Weather, and temperature, is odd.

Our plumbing was done on the cheap as an afterthought to this building. (Yes, this place started with wells and outhouses.) So we have pipe freezes--or worse, pipes bursting!--just about every year.

You know what is said about the traditional Thanksgiving roast turkey dinner...there is very little difference between the best such dinner you ever have and the worst. ;)
