No. I was an infant when Camille happened, and this was definitely a man-made emergency. Heck, I DO remember an entry in a Collier's Yearbook that called it "Battle of New Orleans"--which really muddies the matter. I can't find the actual book tho'...cause I don't have it and don't know a library that does.

I always thought it was 1814, but my source is a song, The Battle of New Orleans by Johnny Horton:

In eighteen-fourteen we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississipp

The battle took place after the war officially ended, though they weren't to know as the news hadn't reached them from Europe.
