If they took writers and actors from straight out of school, we'd have entertainment again. No more projects greenlit because of who's backing it or what name they got to put on the poster, no more paying fuckin' Tom Cruise 25 mil and 2 points per picture for him to do nothing. Hell, Denzel got paid twice for American Gangster, you know. Skip Woods is the perfect example of a guy who writes for Hollywood. And the perfect example of WHY they should all be fired. Hell, we'd have JOBS again. I went to college for media technology and I fought for a non-paid boom op gig back in NYC a few years ago. And it's the only work I've had thus far. Pay me more than what I make at my shitty hotel job and finally get me doing something in my field and I'll be happy. And a happy writer/actor/whatever doing what he loves will get you better, smarter media. They save money, we save movies and TV, it's the perfect solution ( ... )
