Is There Any Interest in a Participation Ficlet Series?

Jul 27, 2007 02:03

Hey.

Now here is the idea: I want to explore my version of the Hackett Continuum--with some help. To do this, imagine the paradigm as a TV action series--each Episode being three Acts, and each Act being five Scenes (ficlets!). I'd set up a Community to handle it. Everybody who participates would play an on-screen character based on themselves (either as they would be in that point in history, or [Life On Mars-style!] from 2007 and somehow transported to this not-quite-right version of 1984).

Yes, 1984. Culturally, there are some relatively minor changes (for example, the candidates for President of the U.S.) but I don't plan on getting too weird. The premise is there is an organization trying to influence events [The Balance, led by the mysterious Counter] and yours truly [a misfit kid in Florida about to flunk High School] is being recruited by them for purposes unknown. So who are you, where are you and what are you doing? That's what we all need to find out.

Anybody game? If so, reply.

tv, writing, role-playing game, fanfiction, the 1980s, science-fiction, ficlet
