Ahahaha yeah. I don't think that would've helped the whole bullet-wound thing. Though ZEX would've suffered through it, I'm sure. XD I know what you mean. Unless they're extreme (like FUP's 'dkfjasdkflajsdheartattack' face up there eehee) it's kind of hard to tell their expressions apart. But you're doing a pretty good job. :D

I'm happy you approve of her parting shot. |D And spastic folks like FUP are always entertaining. Captain needed a makeover! That uniform was so drab and boring. THE CAPTAIN WILL NURSE HIM BACK TO HEALTH IN THE MANLIEST WAY POSSIBLE. That's what partners are for, after all.

I can see Hayes being nervous about sending the Captain on a diplomatic mission like that, and then the Pkunk are all "We like the cut of your species' jib! So full of life and childlike wonderment! Allies forevs!" XD

I DIDN'T MENTION IT BEFORE but FUP's spazzytail makes my heart bubble in glee. IT'S ALL TWISTY AT THE ENDS AHAHA <3 And I love the clothing YIK's wearing, SO PRETTY, and the captain does pull off the outfit pretty well. :D
*Snerk* How manly? Are we talking, say, manly cuddling and hand(tentacle)-holding and brow-kissing, like in those ever-so-manly Victorian adventure novels? Because that's totally the sort of manly I could get behind. XD
The Pkunk are SO laid back. I was stunned when I actually managed to get them angry at me... and then I apologized and they were all "OH KAY LET'S BE FRIENDS NAO :D " and hee! BEST HIPPIES EVER.

He's so twitchy. <3 Got to keep those tail muscles in shape somehow, I suppose. YIK's far too chic to wear that dreadful uniform day in, day out. It's much better with some alteration. XD And Captain's lucky; most people can't pull off shiny metallic trousers.
I second the motion for Victorian novel manliness. Maybe if Wilde had written the novel... |D

I actually did some tiny sketches of YIK but nothing really set in stone so far. She gave off this vibe of "floaty artist" to me when I tried to give it a shot SO I WENT WITH IT and I dunno. I SHOULD POST THEM OR SOMETHING
Totally on the cutting edge of VUX fashion, whatever that might entail. :D After all, I'm sure they've got more out there than just their black starfleet uniforms. Also teehee starfleet. BUT STILL.

Bleeding edge, since she serves under ZEX and probably gets exposure to lots of couture besides the VUX homeworld. And yeah, I can't see any VUX being too happy about wearing the uniform constantly. It's not like they're in active service, anyway. HAR HAR TO BOLDLY GO WHERE NO VUX HAS GONE BEFORE.

Haha I should. I did some better sketches of YIK and FUP and PIK with some minor theorizing about them, and then bam they all started trying to give me backstories and it's like YOU GUYS I CAN'T SQUEEZE YOU INTO THE SECRET THEATERS YOU'D ONLY SHOW UP IN FICS WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME
I need to work on the other VUX DAX mentioned actually, but that was more the group of five that all hated the Captain cause they blamed him for what happened. So less distinct in that case. :O
Hahaha oh man, I can see her getting fascinated with fashion from all sorts of cultures, asking ZEX if he can get her some clothes from the Melnorme, that kind of thing. Hehehe. Constantly kind of off in her own world. I can't see her being very high up on the chain of command...probably an ensign or cadet or something, since she has like no focus. |D
