For those of you who have been fortunate enough never to fill out unemployment paperwork, there is a section that asks you about work search activity contact info. The part that annoys me is it assumes there are even appropriate jobs out there to apply to..

First off, they do not care if they are appropriate.

Second, they don't care if they are local.

They just want to know that you are doing something.

I don't think they care about what you think is 'appropriate' as much as they want to know you are willing to look at what's out there.

Nor do they care if what is out there is paying what you need to make to meet ends.
