No kidding! At least the renters are providing some income for the banks while they figure out who is willing to buy their latest crop of bad mortgages.

They need to get rid of the houses, the lack of liquidity is killing them. Harder to sell houses which has people living in them. Probably not a lot of people looking to invest in property at this point in time.

The number of homes on the market here that are empty for various reasons is very high. The number of these houses that have been on the market for over 3 months is very high.
You can easily give 120 day notice starting the day the bank acquires the property with little effect to selling the home.
