You all know I highly dislike the current President Bush's politics, probably even more so than his father's. But I respected Bush43 - to some degree - for trying to do what he thought was the right thing. With recent news of Dubya authorizing illegal wiretaps, however, it changes things. Ur preaching the the choir :) Look at it this way....I'm pretty sure that no matter who gets into office in 2008, they couldn't be worse than him.

I'vce never had faith in him OR our government for as long as I can remember.

I don't think he's going to willingly give up power in 2008. He's a megalomaniacal zealot.

I have always had faith in our government. It is not a perfect system, obviously, but I believe in its ideals and principles.

I've never had faith in our government. What they claim as ideals and principles are just a facade to keep people in line, letting politicians get away with all sorts of awful things.

Maybe in the very beginning the government could be believed...but not any more.
