But broken pencils DO serve a purpose. They show people how not to write... why couldn't this faux feminist just learn that lesson? :<

The part that really set me off was comparing a mid-life sports-car crisis and pregnancy. Though I do get irrationally angry when the father gets off leave for months at a time after the baby is born (seen this happen more than once in my workplaces).

Oh, and. ILU. ♥

Hmmm that's true that. Note to all: sharpen pencils, good for your paper and good for your brain. Well, technically I am all for people airing their opinions and newspapers do tend to have these airings in them. But even if it's a comment piece it doesn't mean you can't base your opinions on facts. Or you know, actual logic. Or at the very least, not sounding like she's just recycling opinions she thinks sound good or 'cool' without thinking how they relate to each other and to her life.

Urggghhhh yeah that. I had to read that bit several times just to ensure that was what she'd actually said. Like women don't have mid-life crises to worry about as well. Menopause anyone? Haha, at least you recognise it as irrational. I actually think it's a fairly good thing, since it means the mother isn't the one trapped at home and the father gets some time to try and bond with the baby. I hear that's a good thing. It's a bit dubious if they both have time off though or if they don't share the time off.

Aw shucks, you're making me blush (again ( ... )
