Costume Institute visit

Sep 25, 2007 23:45

Had lots of fun yesterday at the Costume Institute - I'm sorry that it was during the day, and so many of those who wanted to come had to miss out. Hopefully, we'll organise an evening visit in the future, so that you can come if you like.

In the meantime, took lots of pics and I'm starting to put them up on Circa's website where everyone can see ( Read more... )

that is a cute suit , i love the star button.
but i couldn't imaging wearing a woolen bathing suit, it must have been so heavy once you got wet!

and cant wait to see your pics, I have more than i put up online, but i'm sure you'll have a different view of the items than me :]

They probably didn't mind the wool bathing suits because they didn't know any different! Besides, I like to think that they spent most of their time promenading in their beach pyjamas and parasols.

Your pics are great: I love that you focus on details. I think that as a collection, yours and mine, they cover the material quite well.

That is a very eye-catching swimsuit. I particularly like the striped pattern up top.

My vision, however, is carried to that wonderful hat! I love its size the colourful flower motif on it.

The hat is fabulous. They were very fond of large hats in the 'thirties. I have a similar one at the shop, although mine is so big I wonder if it wasn't designed to be worn, it's like carrying a parasol on your head it's so big.
