Sometimes I wish life came with a reset button.

What do you do when you're depressed?  I guess that's the key to life.  If you know what to do when you're depressed, life will always be happy.  So I'm asking anyone that reads this:  What do you do when you're depressed and want to be happy?

When I'm depressed I usually do a lot of things there are moments where I cry. After that I call up one of my friends and have long conversations to get my mind away from my current emotion. I also draw too when I'm down. hmm...,thats all I can think of right now

Having dealt with depression for 4 straight years (most of which was high school, conveniently) and brief spurts now-a-days, I know all too well that there's nothing you can do to ensure that depression stays away. However, I have found things that help me survive it. The therapists and meds were/are great, but one of the best pieces of advice I ever received was to stay productive. Isolation and/or being idle is a death threat. Working, studying and/or socializing leave little room for moping. Another awesome way was to find something higher than myself. Volunteering with Comfort Zone Camp or doing some sort of personal study has helped in the past, since it made me focus on something other than myself, which was essentially what I wanted all along. Different techniques work for different people, but those were good for me. Ah, and my animals are awesome, since they're so naturally happy ( ... )

Go to Best Buy. Buy Fair to Midland's Fables from a Mayfly. Pop it in your stereo, and play it as loud as possible ( ... )

When I'm depressed, I usually take a walk to a place and go people-watching, or talk to some of my friends, but I also tend to write it out in my journal.
