I just watched Durarara!! today. I'm amazed of the popularity of it. Considering the five episodes and seven translated manga chapters.

I am, of course, talking about the English speaking fandom. The Japanese have those light novels.

I rather like it so far, though.

I know! It's good, but I'm wondering where all the hype is coming from. It's not the type of show that sticks out as "this is the next big thing," you know?

Well, if things I've read are any indication, it's because the light novels were written by the same person who wrote Baccano! and the anime is directed by the same person who did the Baccano! anime. Baccano was pretty popular, so, yeah...

...that, and there isn't any big name anime to compete with it right now.

I'm just angry that people are already shipping Izuya and Shizuo. Never mind the fact that Shizuo wants to kill Izuya via vending machine/mail box/trash can/any heavy object near by, THEY'RE BOTH PRETTY!!!!1ONE! OMG!

THIS is why I usually stay away from fandoms, and just watch/read stuff.

In other news, I'm addicted to the ending song. YAY full versions.

Ah, so that's why I kept hearing Baccano mentioned, I was wondering if they were connected. I should probably watch it sometime.

But didn't you know, rivals=lovers? -_- Mindless yaoi fangirls get on my nerves. I'm in fandoms mainly for the crack, honestly. I love me some good crack. That, and the actual serious/intelligent stuff from the Hetalia fandom.

I didn't like the ending much at first, but it's growing on me. I do like the opening, but it lost some awesome points when I found out the lyrics are "blow out loud" (wtf) and not "roar out louder." :/
