With Junot Díaz at Swarthmore

I had the rare pleasure this week of listening to and meeting Pulitzer Prize-winning author Junot Díaz at Swarthmore College. He read an appropriately brief excerpt from The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, and then fielded questions about writing, to which he gave answers so good that I am appropriating them for future writing classes.  He's a ( Read more... )

Also, dammit, I need to keep better tabs on Swarthmore events so when things of this awesometude go down I can come hang out.

Yes, he does indeed have good taste.

I am unfamiliar Junot. I will have to look him up.

Wow. Just wow. What an incredible moment for you. Thank you for sharing it.

Finally. Something good came out of that Clute review.
