A free gift
Here I am, pulling myself to pieces in preparation to head off to lovely San Diego and lead week one of "Clarion: Year One", and out of the blue I receive the cover art of the first Shadowbridge novel, slated now to debut in January 2008 (subject as always to change). I usually get to rail about cover art...because God knows I've had some truly execrable covers delivered upon me like Biblical plagues (Conan the Apache on the cover the Irish epic Tain still probably tops the bill, although the follow-up was horrible in a different way)...but then this cover came along and I keep opening the file and staring at it again and making "ooh-ahh" noises that really seem so...well...worshipful. A strange elation has moved in. Promise, I'll be better later.
