Was a good plan on Jensen's part, just sorry it didn't work out better.

I love how you have almost everyone involved in this story.

I'm not sure why but I don't think the finger is Jensen's. They wouldn't risk harming him before they got the money. Either way it has made Jared angry enough to want them dead & that is bad news for them.

You got me a little confused in the scene where Jensen picks up Anna from the orphanage. You say it's placed in Romania but then Jensen and Anna fly out of the country from Budapest. Budapest is the capital of Hungary. Romania's capital is Bucharest. Mix up? :)

There is an entire section I deleted where Jensen and Anna rode the train from Romania to Hungary. It ended up reading like a travelogue so I deleted it. Heh, maybe I should've been more cautious about how much I delete! :9

I'm sure hoping they cut a finger off the dead guy or I'm gonna be really pissed...not as pissed as Jared. Or Jensen, heh. But yeah. *cranky face*

Very good escape attempt-I like that since he knows they don't have his daughter, he's going to do his damndest to get away. There's no guarantee they'll let him go if they *do* get the ransom.

Oh, and I meant to say-I can see why Jared was less engaged as a parent. Jensen meant well, by both Anna and Jared, but he did spring it on him; it's one thing to try to adopt, but to get the child unexpectly overnight like that is another. BUT I think Jared's business distractions also played a large part in distancing him emotionally, too. Poor little Anna. :(
