That's just stunning. It's everything I want from a fic, atmospheric and intelligent and chock-full of suspense. Your version of the Peter Pan story still holds a certain resemblance to the original, but more importantly stands completely on its own, with convincing, sympathetic characters and fascinating twists. Thank You

I don't suppose Silent Hill was also a source of inspiration for this story?

Very interesting read! I couldn't stop reading until the very end! :D

Hee, I was wondering about the Silent Hill reference, then I realized both the video game and I took our cue from a real town - Centralia, PA.

Robbin Island itself was inspired by D'Arcy Island, whose horrific history makes my story look tame in comparison.

Whoa. But yeah, many children's stories easily transmute into horror (or were horror originally.) All around, nicely done. Wish I had more words than that, but really... I'm stunned. A good stunned, but likewise one that's robbing me of language.

BTW, a Justin shows up for the chat with Chad/Tom/Jared. I suppose it doesn't really matter if a fourth man's hanging out, but I mostly mapped his conversational offerings onto Tom.

Damn. That was totally amazing. You got the atmosphere just right, the perfect balance between the horror of the uncanny and the horror of human nature. Being from an area that houses small, secretive islands like the one in your story makes the tale hit even harder for me.

Yikes. Freaky, but awesome.

This is haunting - in the best senses of the word. You managed to create plot, characters and atmosphere with a very deft and subtle hand. Some of the best fantasy and horror stories I've read don't end up spelling every little detail out for you, letting your imagination amplify the whole experience and I think you've achieved that here. Thanks so much for sharing!
