Sweetie, you are doing great!!! I felt I needed to tell you that, because your parents are sooo...PARENTS. You had a good career, but you wanted better. You went back to school, you don't have any major debt and you are going for something that makes you happier! You have it all. At least, all that you want at this point - and I think their nagging and bellyaching isn't a great help at this point. You're doing awesome! Just stay on this path you have taken and it will all work out for the best. As for dating...like you have TIME. That will come when it comes as well...

Thanks!! and yeah parents will be parents. I think they don't realize just how much I've planned things out. I knew there would be issues moving home but I thought that they would back off a little when they saw I have things under control.

When it comes to dating it's not like they are getting anymore grandchildren. My sister had three and I'm old enough that it is a bad idea. I think dad wants to see me married because he's under the impression I'd be more secure that way and mom worries I'm lonely...

Have an excellent weekend and thanks again!!

They will always see you as a wee one and worry over you. Even when you have it all under control as you do.

Bless. Old fashioned ideas and sweet for all that they are conventional. Still, they should take into account who you are and let you decide what is 'secure' and whether you need such companionship!

Thank you, thank you! You as well, m'dear!

I think they will relax about the boyfriend thing soon. They still seem to think I need to get a job but I think I have found a way to go back to my old job and not have it drive me nuts. We'll see how it goes! Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Hmm. Just tried to post a comment to this. LJ told me I wasn't logged in (I was!) and then told me my comment would be screened. And then told me my comment was an error and wouldn't be posted. Strange ol' LJ!

Anyway, congratulations on the graduation! And it looks like you did really well too, so I hope you're very proud of yourself.
As to your parents, I do hope they learn to back off a little. It really sounds like you've got things well in hand and they're not really helping much. Good luck!

Thanks! LJ has its issues, LOL.

I am pretty proud, mostly because I actually did it. This is my second time and this time I finished and didn't run out of money to pay for classes.

I think my parents want what's best for me but they also seem to forget that I am capable of a lot of things. While I lived in PA they didn't get to see how I changed and grew up.

I know I should probably get a summer job but I want to also enjoy the summer unlike last year where I worked an hour short of full time while doing summer classes to get ahead.

Thanks again and have a great weekend!!

That's often the way with parents! And I'm one myself so I know this situation from both sides! Parents always want what's best for their kids but they (we) often seem to think they (we) know better as to what that is!

Good luck helping yours to see that you've got this! :)

And you definitely deserve a summer break!

I think I have it worked out that I can deal with my issues with the job to make the parents happy. It involves a list of days that I will need off in order to go back. It's like 7 weeks and I can cope with 7 weeks... or just quit if it gets too bad. I just hate retail.

Thanks and have a great weekend! ^_^

Fantastic and congratulations...late. :)

On a completely random note, I really like that green quilt.

Thanks! and oddly enough the green quilt is one that mom bought years ago, she has since learned to quilt and makes some amazing ones... it inspired her to learn...
