[ Things had not gone as well as she had hoped with Will, but, she hardly expected more than what she received. Helen knew the moment she made the choice about how to save Abby that it would cause a divide between her and her protege. From her eyes? It had to be done that way. There was no other way to save Abby. It was either make a choice that ( Read more... )

[Peter had kept out of the way for several reasons. Firstly, he didn't know Abby, they'd spoken in passing, but he didn't know her beyond her name, that she was Will's girlfriend, and that she was pretty and nice. Secondly, he wasn't going to get involved in something he didn't have the place to get involved in. This wasn't Spider-Man's work, it was Sanctuary work, and he was a resident, not staff. Lastly? All the damn singing. He understood the condition of the situation, that Abby couldn't understand plain language, that certain vocal patterns made more sense in her head, but he wasn't about to sing to her every time he wanted to ask her if she needed anything to be comfortable.

The situation had been resolved, that much he knew, and he was sure he'd be filled in on the details, but for now he was happy to hang upside down in the corner of his room and read over some of the notes he'd written for school. Blinking up at the tap on the door, he smiles at Helen, dropping down from the corner and nodding.]

Yeah, sure. Let me just-- [ ( ... )

[ Her head tilts as she shook her head seeing him upside down. She is more than used to it by this point, but silently waits for the day where something startles him and he falls down. Hopefully his extra sense would kick in and he'd land on his feet. Though, that is more like a cat than a spider.

She steps inside and closes the door behind her as he scurries over to the bed. Her hands fold in front of her as Peter settles down. A smile finds its way on her face. ]

Abby can see visitors now. In case you wanted to go and speak to her. [ Henry had told her the face Peter made when he was informed he'd have to sing to Abby. Although, Helen figures it was much more adorable on Peter as opposed to how amusing it was on Henry's face. ] Not to mention you missed hearing how awful we all sing.

I might stop by and say hi or something, yeah. [He'd at least bring her something. Maybe cookies of some kind. Something nice but not cliché like grapes, because he was sure sure she'd be tired of all that stuff. Still, he didn't know her well enough to get something more personal. It'd just be a bit awkward.

Giving a quick grin, Peter laughs, shaking his head.] I heard some of it. You're a good singer, Momma Bear, but I'm never karaoke-ing with Will. Ever. [He shrugs with a smile, rustling at his notes and giving them another glance over.] Is... everything else okay? No other problems going on right now?

I'm certain she could use the company that isn't Will. Complaining about the mountain of paperwork he has to do now. [ Though she knows that is Will's way of coping with the situation. Humor and complaining about paperwork. Helen reaches behind her and folds her dress down as she sits down on the bed beside him, crossing her legs. ]

I'm decent at best. [ Accompanied by a pointed look with a smirk. ] There is a reason why Will doesn't sing, I suppose. [ Given his reaction, however, she's certain there is a deeper reason. ] Everyone else seems to be alright. This hit rather close to home. [ Her smile fades slightly. ] Though, Will and I may be on some uneven ground for quite a long time.
