The Day After Christmas---

--and all I can think about is how stupid family gatherings are. =___=

I mean seriously, you don't ask a single woman five times in less than 5 hours if she has a boyfriend or not. It doesn't even count the couple of times that I've been asked, yet again, in another family gathering soon after, and the many how's your love life? questions I got ( Read more... )

she says blogging is therapeutic, she is easily affected, she actually has a non-fandom post whee~, she fails at explaining complex ideas

Ah, I totally feel you about the "Do you have a boyfriend?" interrogations. My relatives were actually demanding I get married soon...And all I could say was "To whom?!"

This culture, ugh. As if happiness is impossible without a BF/GF.

THIS SFM. As if the country's population dilemma isn't enough. -__-

Getting a BF/GF >> Getting Hitched >> Starting a Family >> HAVING KIDS. Seriously, if all young people these days hooked up and followed that 'anticipated' progression of things, poverty and hunger and employment problems would be far worse than how it already is at present. They should actually thank us for choosing to stay single.

I know, bb, I know. That is why I have to declare every year that I am staying single and all I want to do is travel, not date.

And blah, they should be proud you're looking out for yourself than having a guy take care of you.

At least you have the patience to deal with all of their off the mark interrogations/questions? ;O; I don't. I try to smile but I know it looks totally plastered on my face. But do they actually notice? NO.

I know I can't take care of myself well enough (i.e., I'm almost always sick), but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to have BF to take care of me. If I needed someone who would feed me well and take care of me, then I should get a maid. Or a Personal Assistant. Not a freaking boyfriend. =__=

OH! The same problem that I have. Except its not with my relatives (we weren't able to have a family gathering for this year's Christmas season) - but co-workers (including my seniors).

But you know what, be proud of yourself. Because you are swimming against the water current. That even if you are against the trend you can still stand firm, be you and believe in yourself. ^^v

/hugs you so tight

PS: Sho's smiling at you. :3

I need more Ohno icons

oh, oh. If you only knew -- everyone in the workplace also asks me the same question regularly IT IS SO ANNOYING. =___= Granted there are a lot of single ladies in the workplace, my exposure to more locations here make me more vulnerable to questions like these.

And awwww. Chen wae you always say the right words?! *______* I do like going against the current a lot, but people always judge me for being an oddball. *O*

PS: Satoshi-kun is smiling at you too :3 HEY, SUPER SOUL! *~~~*
