I remember being shown a school film of "The Lottery" and being absolutely horrified (but in a good way? like, not scarred for life, but in a that-just-blew-my-mind way). Can't remember WHY the teacher showed it, or even what grade I was. I don't think I ever read it.

It’s really short. It took no more than 20 minutes to listen to the story.

How long was the movie?

You teacher probably didn’t want to teach that day 🤣

Yeah I'd say the film was no more than 20 minutes, or half a class. It felt like it was one of those that they make for the classroom. Jeez that's probably not even still a thing anymore... teachers can just find stuff on youtube and show that!
