After a zombie becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.
Thanks to twitter I found out about an advanced screening of "Warm Bodies". It comes out February 1.
Based on the book, it's zombie story with a romcom-'Romeo and Juliet' twist. ["R" = "Romeo"; "Julie" = "Juliet; "Perry" = "Paris"; "M/Marcus" = "Mercutio"; "Nora" = Juliet's "Nurse" (the character of Nora is also a nurse).]
It also doesn't take itself to seriously. It's really witty and funny. Many LOL-moments for the audience. But there is also a lot of heart and a message of hope, which I liked very much. I don't usually watch zombie stories because they are too gruesome and depressing. And though there are some gory scenes and a bit of a creepy factor with R eating Julie's ex-boyfriend, it's only rated PG-13 so it won't go too over the line.
I don' want to reveal too much because it won't be out for a couple of months. I will only add that the soundtrack is awesome.
