Someone decided to leave me a nice little birthday present this morning.

As posted on twitterOn top of that, I got a letter from one of my credit card companies today as well. They decided that because I didn't want to add certain features to my credit card account, they dropped my line of credit by 90%. So now, because they did that, I'm over my ( Read more... )

HOW is what the credit card company did legal? That sounds incredibly suspicious and sneaky (as per usual with CC companies). Fight it tooth and nail! We had to fight Chase to hell and back over goddamned overdraft charges that weren't our fault. Every overdraft put us $40 in the red, all because Chase didn't take a bill payment out until AFTER we had spent the money elsewhere. We saw that the account still had money, saw that the first bill had APPARENTLY gone through, and used the card again. BOOM OVERDRAFT. We contested it and eventually they rolled over in our favour.

The credit card laws changed here not too long ago. It didn't change the fact that they can do these stupid things, but they now have to warn you when they do. I've hated this card company since I first got them. I just want to finish paying it off and be done with it.

Wow. I'm sorry, hun. D: *hugs* I hope the rest of your birthday is going well.

Yeah, I hate the CC companies, too. That's why I seriously just want to cancel my card once my last payment goes through. They're really just not worth it all.
