I do have a question though

Then a few paragraphs down:
“It’s faster to get the drinks myself. Liech and Hong are too busy.”

Assuming Liech = Liechtenstein, how can she be busy if she called in sick? I know it's not important to know this in order to follow the story, but I'd hate for any minor points to detract from the story since it's really well written.
