I love Dexter. I prefer the books to the show (I never got past season 2) but Michael C. Hall is win in any form, imho.

I've only read one of the books - it was where the baddie was the dude who cut people up and made them play Hangman. I thought the Dexter in that book was much funnier than the Dexter from season 1 of the TV show, but I liked it enough to give the show a second chance. I did think it massively improved as it went along.

He is such a good actor! I kind of want to go back and rewatch Six Feet Under because I don't think I appreciated how good he was the first time through.

I like both Dexters, honestly. I just can't seem to get myself to watch more than just season 1...
