I know, can you imagine how much better television would be if the people responsible could reap the benefit of my wisdom at the outset? Goodbye fucking pointless love triangles that stretch for seasons at a time and go nowhere; hello pirates, explosions and rampant smut. Though it bears mentioning that Rome already had all of these in spades, so other than suggesting a few more nude scenes for Mark Anthony, I pretty much would have been gilding the lily.
