Round 2 Sign-ups
Welcome back, all :D. As you can see, frontier has a new layout and a new header - this time I've gone more Star Trek-themed since the R1 layout was a bit too vague. Hope you enjoy!
Welcome to the second round of frontier_lims!
The Lowdown:
frontier_lims (Final Frontier LIMS) is an all-inclusive Star Trek challenge. But what does that mean? That means we'll be using screencaptures from all incarnations (just to be clear - The Original Series and its movies, The Next Generation and its movies, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, and Star Trek 2009). Each week participants are provided with between 5-12 caps and are assigned the task of making one icon entry unless otherwise stated. These caps may be chosen by incarnation, theme, gender, episode, colour etc. You will be informed of the challenge requirements.
Each challenge is open for five days, with voting commencing after and lasting two days. Hence, each challenge lasts a week in total. I usually run the challenges by a set schedule.
Results are announced after the voting deadline and, as is the nature of LIMS, participants are eliminated. At frontier_lims, two users are eliminated per challenge - unless there are ties. In additional, two users are selected by voters for Members' Choice and two users are selected by me for Mod's Choice.

A word on LIMS:
What are LIMS all about? Why participate in them? Is it about winning? Our sister community, sg1_lims, has a fantastic post here where all those questions are answered.
In addition, another sister community, starwars_lims has an excellent guide about how to give good crit when voting. You can access it here.
In short, LIMS are about obtaining feedback and improving your icon style. frontier_lims is not the place for dramatics if you're eliminated. We're here for crit, pleasure, and meeting other iconmakers.
Caps Folders:
At frontier_lims, caps for future weeks will be posted ahead of time. Frontier's header bar will be regularly updated with links to new caps folders. At the moment, I have the first four weeks uploaded:
