So my trip to a BARCS event at Petco paid off. I came home with a beautiful little girl that we've named Ember, or Emmie for short and an energetic little boy named, Bolt.
Shanna, you light up my life! All my cat ladies said such nice things about you. You meet some really challenging people in the cat biz, and it is the best feeling in the world to know a cat is going to someone you trust.
Aww, thanks, I seriously felt a bond with those ladies the moment I walked in. Though, I could never do what they do and balance the other parts of my life at the same time. I can't even imagine the heart ache and the anger they must feel on a regular basis. I listened to the stories of how the litters were found or how one kitten reminded them of a kitten that had died and so on, really heart breaking stuff. It's probably amazing that I'm only walking away from this experience with three kittens and not more but, I want to make sure that I have the room/finances/attention to give them so I figured three was probably the most I could reasonably get away with but, man if I hit the lottery, whew, Cat Ranch here I come
