Another Poll! And ship-war retrenchment.

Aug 04, 2009 20:01

Okay, I've changed my mind. Can Kara/Sam be hazelnut gelato? Oh my GOD. I tried some for the first time today, and almost felt guilty eating it in public. Like I shouldn't be enjoying myself that much in front of small children. ;)

But the real purpose of this post: what do you guys think of LJ's new "my guests" feature? As is so often the case, I' ( Read more... )

Since I can't unselect it, I might as well confess that I'm the Cylon (partofgodsplan).

Much as the idea of knowing who's visiting is appealing, I'm loathe to loose on my own privacy as a part of the bargain. (I want my cake and I want to eat it!) I'm going to keep waffling for a while, but I'm thinking I can continue to live without knowing exactly who's accessing my journal. I filter each post with that in mind anyway.

There is no point in having cake if you can't eat. IJS... ;)

It's okay, as a proud member of teambasestar I'm not allowed to airlock you. ;)

Heh, I know the feeling. In this case it seems only fair to let others spy on me if I'm going to spy on them, though. You, otoh, have so many RP journals you could probably beat the system. ;)

We've maxed out on the active journals, I swear! It's just Donna and Natalie! (I recently retired Colonel Potter :P)

I'm leaning toward no, but, just for you, I enabled pingbacks. :)

Whee! Okay, now I have to find an excuse to link to your journal so we can see if it works. *bounces*

Yeah, someone mentioned that a few days back, so I disabled it. (drama, not wanted, omg)

Awww. Hey, what were Kara/Sam, anyway? I'm not remembering. And hazelnut is a good choice. Sort of wacky and crazy and different. ;]

It does seem like it has serious drama potential, doesn't it?

I believe they were strawberry, hence my William Wallace-like declaration of war. ;)

And HEAVENLY. *swoons*

*laughs* Ah, heaven. Personally, I have some oreos and cherry 7up. Can I claim that in the name of the OTP, too? Do they need a ridiculous, over the top pairing name now?

WELL CLEARLY. Something like... cherubs? Cherubim? ;)

Decisive! I admire decisiveness. From afar. ;)

I am just happy I spelled it correctly the first time!

First, I HAD (Chocolate) HAZELNUT GELATO TODAY TOO. It was a free sample and it was yum.

Thank you for mentioning pingbacks. I have now enabled them. I really should spend some time nosing around LJ and finding out how it actually works I suppose.

I'm intrigued by the "My Guests" feature. Because I'm a seriously Nosy Parker. But...I would probably be just as happy with a unique hit counter or something that doesn't necessarily give you names. Although...I don't know. I'm thinking I will probably enable it, but haven't fully decided yet. (Actually I thought it was supposed to be enabled already and you had to disable it, but mine is not checked..so perhaps I am just doing it all wrong. Again. Some more.)

I'm pretty much a lay all my cards out on the table kinda girl so I don't mind too much being on display when I lurk. (Although it could hinder my sleuthing efforts with regards to CC. If she ever posted anything.) Does it really track how many times a day you refresh your flist, because that might certify me as insane?

Heh. Wouldn't that be more likely to certify you as boredy mcbored? ;)

It certainly does ME, I don't even want to actually know my wandering habits! Then I can pretend I'm a sane person, it's a nice fiction. *clings*
