[so people might notice that Cirno sounds surprisingly quiet.

this is because she is holding the phone upside-down while she talks.]

So I guess you can use this thing to talk to people who aren't here? Or something? That's what the creepy lady said when I asked her ( Read more... )

Cirno-san...

...

...if you speak into the part of the phone you are holding to your ear, you may achieve a much higher tone.

But what difference would that make? Both ends are the same, right?

I always find that experiencing things yourself makes it more...fun?

Uh...okay.

[this is the sound of Cirno moving the receiver around

and speaking into the other end like a walkie-talkie.]

Is this better?

The fact that you feel the need to tell people you aren't weird might mean that you are weird.

I'm not weird, but some people called me weird, so I wanted them to know that I'm not!

Why not tell them face to face instead of telling everyone?

frogsicles February 9 2010, 01:45:28 UTC
'Cause I don't remember where they live.

First of all, you're speaking into the wrong end!

Second, you shouldn't trust demons so easily! We lie all the time!

And third, no matter what you say: You. Are. A Freak Show!!

First, I'm using the phone right! Second, you're just a lying liar and a meanie! Third, since you're such a liar, I don't have to listen to you 'cause I'm not weird!

First, no you aren't! Second, of course I am because I'm a demon! And third, you shouldn't be so gullible!

I'm not gullible 'cause you're not fooling me with your lies! So maybe you shouldn't be so...uh...stupid! And weird!

... you're talking into the wrong end...

((It's a good thing her better hearing makes up for not being able to put the phone up to her ear, else working with phones would be a pain for Reisen))

Huh? Then, um...

[you hear a clunk as she sets the receiver down and tries to speak into the numbers on the dial.]

Is this better?

stop_it_tewi February 9 2010, 02:16:07 UTC
N-no, I mean... the thing you were talking into before, you were probably holding it upside down.

[another clunk as she picks the receiver back up, failing to flip it over in the process.]

Sorry, did you say something? I guess that way didn't work.

Yes, that's what it's for. Talking to everyone else here. Though you don't need to keep your voice down; if you don't want someone to hear you, I think there's a way to block them somehow. [She just. Hasn't bothered to figure out how to do that yet, given how much she dislikes using it in general.]

... [And, almost helpful-sounding,] Don't worry. I don't think "weird" the word I'd use to describe you. It's a pretty nasty word to call anyone.

[Does she mean it? ... Probably half. At least she's trying to be nicer.]

Yeah, that's right! It's really mean and I don't like it!

And I'm not keeping my voice down, I'm talking normal! You're the one who's being quiet...

I agree. So who called you weird, anyway? Just out of curiosity.

... I am? [Well that wasn't what she expected. ... Hm.] Did you do anything before you picked it up? Messed with the cords, or something like that?

The stupid weird kid called me weird. [she's referring to Mao, but she never got his name.]

I didn't touch anything, I picked it up and talked and when people talked back they were all real quiet.
