Oh wow, this is so interesting. I recently watched The Fall and it was fascinating. Great interpretation and I love that cover. I'm curious about your previous vid-bunny.

The cover's pretty great, I really lucked out in finding it (it was buried a god way back back in the search results, youtube = not lacking in covers for this song) as ended up near enough perfect for my needs.

As for the original vid-bunny, it wasn't radically different in terms of the basic idea (Paul as Goyte, Stella as Kimbra), but since the original is so upbeat musically, the 'Paul is sad, so sad, and certainly not stalking any of these women, oh no' section would've been punched up to the point that it would've played as set up for something vaguely shippy until the whiplash of the 'nope, actually he's a serial killer' (especially since Stella showed up a lot earlier at that point of mental storyboarding).

Dani was always the friend 'collecting records', though.
