BSG: Queering One's Gaze & the Traces of Ideology

I walk down a street in the interstices of school
and our gazes meet.
The road I tread
mows through her irises, presses her prisms
and I own
the eyes with which she watches me...

I'm finally watching this ep tonight, so I can't yet speak to its specifics (Roslin/Tory?? squee!!), but also today I have to start working out my Mary paper, figuring out how to talk about the oscillation of visibility and invisibility in the play of the queer gaze. so, yay!
