Thank you Ellen! The prompt kept nagging at me, but it wasn't until I stumbled across an old LotR still of Galadriel & Arwen that I decided to try and create something for it. Even though Galadriel is an elf and not a hobbit, I think she would have understood how Frodo was feeling, perhaps even better than Bilbo.

Before I saw this prompt and your art, I never thought about the similarities of Frodo waiting for Sam, and Galadriel waiting for Celeborn. It is comforting to think that Frodo had Galadriel's friendship and support even on the other side of the sea. When they meet in Lórien, there is already a very strong sense of mutual appreciation and respect. I can easily see that developing into this most unlikely of friendships. Thank you for expressing this in your wondrous art.
