I'm giving in

Aug 08, 2006 21:17

I have sat here for two weeks and I am finally giving in. I am going to start watching all of my Star Trek:Voyager tapes, some of which I haven't seen in a decade. Oh well, my family didn't want meals prepared for them anyway.

*g* I love the musical theme for this series.

voyager, star trek

Remember, shout loudly at any infidelity between the J/C ship, and shout loudly at That Damn Borg. ;)

I had a really good time watching the series premiere. Don't enjoy the Janeway hair, but there is no 7 of 9 and Kes is still there! Yeah! I have a couple of seasons before I have to scream "Gag me!" every time the Borg _itch comes on the screen. ;-)

How I wish I was reading in my living room right now. Not the best time in the world to be traveling on an airline. Yikes. So much to tell you, can't wait to get back to normal. Enjoy the reading - miss you!

I have been thinking of you, wondering how your vacation is going. How much longer are you going to be on the East Coast?

Yeah, I thought of you when I heard that on NPR this morning. When do you fly back home? Luckily, it sounds like people are doing things to make it safer.

I can't wait to get a newsy report from you about how you survived the vacation. This drought of few or no Sarah posts is getting a little too long. I want you back at your little coffee shop/cafe/wherever you go to write. I get lots of contact then. (Selfish of me, isn't it?)

I just got back from a 2 day workshop. Today's sessions were really good. The Associate Professor from an area university was fantastic with her presentation on Adolescents and Depression. We also heard from a woman who has Autism and is a college professor. She was very informative. Now I have to get something done with my house since I have been gone for two days. Ugh!

Hope to hear from you soon and that you are having fun. Miss you.

I miss you too - soooo much. I feel like a horrible friend but I promise (like Scarlett O'Hara - fist raised in the air) that everything will be back to normal when I get home. Somehow I feel safer flying, although I fear a strip search is in my future. Just glad to be home and back to writing. I've discovered that I can't think of HP fanfiction without my most amazing research assistant and I'm suffering withdrawls big time.

Please be prepared to offer up some free therapy come Sunday - I hope you don't mind. So much has happened, mainly one bit of news worthy information. If you can check out WSJ and Viacom/MTV and Atom Entertainment. Dear hubbie works for MTV now! Company got bought - makes for a crazy vacation.

Your workshop sounded fascinating. Would like to know more of what you do as it is makes a true difference in this world. Could not imagine you doing otherwise.

Hugs. I miss you too, three, four and five (but not seven of nine - never liked those breasts....)

Sarah,

Promise to post something as soon as you get the kids settled after you return home? *begging/pleading tone* I need to know when you are back full time. Notice that I didn't say as soon as you get in the door. No mother has time to do anything when they first get back from vacation.

Whoa, you go on vacation and your hubbie gets a new "boss." Isn't that always when big changes come about?

7 of 9 and Brannon Bragga, Executive Producer of Voyager, got me to stop watching Star Trek. I didn't that would ever be possible. I had watched Star Trek since the early 70's and because of them, I couldn't watch the last seasons of Voyager. He ruined Star Trek. If you ever want to see my head blow up, just mention Brannon Bragga's name and 7 of 9. Oh, by the way, the two of them were sleeping together the last few years of Voyager. And we wonder why most of the story lines switched to 7 of 9. (Calm down, Tammy. Go to your happy place.) *deep breath* I'd love to tell Paramount to sack that jerk ( ... )
