Contemplating DC Radical Faeries

I have thought long and long about who the DC Radical Faeries are.  We have had endless debates about it, are we a religion, a spiritual group, a social club, a knitting circle.  We are all of those things, but we are more than the sum of those parts.

I asked the Circle Keepers recently to rewrite our "about us" blurb, because it felt wrong.  That

I would like to be a member of this group should I ever live close enough to you all to do so.

I will admit that not being gay did make me feel a little bit like an outsider at the second gathering I went to but I think part of that might be because I didn't really know anyone except dmlaenker and potpourrifae and I always tend to feel somewhat apart from people I don't know.

I do think this group could help me figure some stuff out about myself and my spiritual existence. Perhaps if I find a good fairy princess outfit to wear to the meetings that would help too :)
