Neil Gaiman wants to write the Dr. Strange movie for Guillermo Del Toro to direct.

OOOOHHHHH!!!!

I'm literally quivering. Too bad it's going to be years in the making.

He wrote the best Dr. Strange ever in Marvel 1602. If you haven't read that, you really should.

As for Del Toro being hit or miss, I haven't felt that. It feels right to me.

I don't think it's going to be the perfect storm you think it is.

1) The characters come from Marvel and DC Comics respectively, so probably not.

2) If you couldn't tell I'm a huge Dr. Strange fan, so to say that he's not good enough to get his own movie that he would need to piggyback on something else is a bit insulting.

I think that given Gaiman's understanding of magical worlds, and the character's rich body of work that he could really do something unique and amazing.
