In one respect I don't want to pay $150.00 to ride the fucking bus to Cincinnati and back because it's going to take 16 hours both ways, and that's always crap ( Read more... )

Do you have a paypal account? I would like to contribute to the Fritterfae travel fund, since I didn't have money to contribute to the B-day Tattoo fund.

You, my dear, are the one getting married here. You keep that money and pass it along when I really need it. There's no need for it now, I'm just trying to make up my mind about which route to go.

Oh, no. I'm talking about for Thanksgiving weekend. I'm going to Rachel's wedding.

I'm sure you've checked that flying ON Thanksgiving Day is possibly cheaper. Can you sneak a flask onto the bus? Or better yet a fifth??

As far as Columbus, the last time I was thru there, 3AM was NOT a big deal at all. EVERYONE was either up and partying or passed out. Of course, I was 19 at that point. Holy shit, that was 18 years ago... *sulks away*

Actually I haven't checked that yet, because I've got people coming here at 6:00 p.m. for dinner. Yes, I'm hosting a thanksgiving dinner at my house and then getting on a bus at like 1:00 a.m.

Oh, and btw, that would be at 3:00 in the afternoon on the Friday after thanksgiving, which some people work (as I would have had to do had I not taken the day off with annual leave).

How about renting a car and driving? I'm fairly certain you could do better than that with a car.

I don't have a license. Through a series of snafus in Seattle I didn't renew my driver's license before it expired, and I didn't have a car to take the test, so I have the walking ID. I haven't driven in like 8 years either. I would be absolutely petrified, and would probably wreck halfway there.

So, what's the plan? Do you need a ride from the bus station/airport or are you staying in the city?
