why, yes i AM looking for sympathy here...

Right, I'm back at uni now, and should be revising hard, but I'm not yet, because MY FRIDGE IS FULL OF MOULD.  Someone shut the door of it, which I had purposely left open since we have to switch the power off before we leave.

So now I have to clean it, while trying not to be sick.  I HATE mould.

Urgh.

Thank you!! And I was planning on buying washing up liquid tomorrow, so I'm having to use lemon shower gel on a sponge to get rid of it... D:

Mould!! EEK!! *runs around with arms in the air*

Who was the villain who did the dastardly deed of closing the refrigerator door!!

Well, you have all of my sympathy! *pets frith_in_thorns*

It was probably one of the cleaners :( My whole room smells of it now, it's horrible, but it's too cold to open the window :(

Great start to the term, this! :P But thank you for your sympathy :)

Love your icons! ^_^

But seriously, you need to be careful. Clean out the mould with at least a 10% bleach solution, leave it on the surface where the mould is for at least 15 minutes before wiping it away. We always have a hard time getting rid of the mould at work...it's a pain!

I don't have any of that stuff - I just wiped it out with a sponge, hot water, and, um, lemon shower gel :P I'm going to get some cleaning spray tomorrow, but outside is currently disgusting weather.

Yuck yuck! Make sure you wear a face mask as the spores can do *things*

I'm now thinking of millions of crawling microbes with big pointy teeth and eyes...

No face mask, I'll have to run the risk of flesh-eating-lung-mould :(

...now there's a fic idea... ;)

OMG! That's nasty! (I hate bugs and creepy crawly microbe things)

When I cleared the mould from my wardrobe and window I had a cough for a few days, and I was wearing a facemask. That was probably psychological from the whole 'ew' factor...

Oh, that takes me back! I lost my favourite sweatshirt that way - Mighty Mouse could not stand up to the mighty mould!

Bleach is a good (and reasonably cheap) way to clean up any remnants - here's hoping the weather settles down so you can crack a window open and freshen the place up!

I've bought cleaning spray with bleach in now, and cleaned it very vigorously - sadly my room now stinks of the bleach ;)

And hi! Nice to have you around my LJ! :)
