I know I've said this a thousand times, but I'll say it again. I LOVE this fic. I've now read it for probably the millionth time and that's barely an exaggeration.
It's heartbreaking and at the same time, just beautiful. It's written so brilliantly. Each line is perfect. I especially love the knife at the beginning. You capture the moment and the feeling so well.
Tom is talking to him - has been talking from the looks of it - yet here he was, staring at his future in the depths of some kitchenware.
This line. THIS LINE. <3
He's a husk, as empty and useless as a wooden nesting doll - a shell within a shell within a worthless, painted shell.
It's poetic and it captures the feeling perfectly.
He didn't need the knife after all; five words did the deed and left no trace of him behind to be salvaged.
The perfect murder.
Guh. It rips my soul apart and it's brilliant.
Tom says nothing, only hums an off key chorus of something unrecognizable, the pub's music obviously not up to his standards.

I actually wrote something based on it too, but I still can't decide if I like it, and I'm a sucker for happy endings so I didn't end it like this xD
Did you get my tweet about the TV show? It was a documentary called "The Perfect Murder" and I was like O____________O

I loved it. And loved the ending too, he had to realize eventually. Enough is enough.
