If it still looks like vomit you haven't fried it enough. Persist; turn up the gas a tad; it will cohere and become v. competent Nigella Lawson-style to impress friends.

Courgette bread is a weird thing Americans do here... only they call it zucchini bread. Sounds better that way to me, for some reason. Maybe because I don't picture courgettes when I hear zucchini. I picture pasta tubes. Odd.

But yes. My mum ate zucchini bread and said it good food.
