you know my friend mark just graduated from school for pastry arts...I'll bet he could give us some pointers on how to make that cake....

I would just love to get pointers. I actually couldn't bake myself out of a microwave oven, so don't feel bad! LOL And to add insult to incompetence...my mom used to be a pastry chef. She hasn't baked in many, many years though and this new type of cake and fondant frosting is beyond what she knows how to do anymore. :(

Oh, and I never got back to you...I don't know the nationality yet. I guess I didn't think to ask right away. Could be Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican, mainland Spanish etc... Pretty sure it is not Mexican or Central American though.
