Since the Headmaster has so kindly spilled something to the general school which I would have liked to keep under wraps for slightly longer, I will do my best to aid those trying to identify the substance. Although the Veritaserum I have...misplaced is clear like all Veritaserum, exposure to...other potions has caused it to react...significantly.

Oh, I assure you, it would be much more amusing if the other half of the experimental Veritaserum supply went into our food and lasted for an indefinite time -- and with more of a chance that everyone falls prey to it.

I'm sure that I'd like to keep speaking the truth for the entire of the next year; wouldn't you?
