After promising everybody on friendly_crips that I'd host an open-house virtual party here on Christmas Day, my LJ account has decided to fail! It seems to be working right now. So this is a request to anybody in this comm to have the Christmas party, whether or not my computer lets me be there. You can borrow my virtual chef whites if you want them. Or anything

It might be your browser! There's widespread problems in Explorer and Safari, and occasional problems in Chrome and Firefox.

Belated response now that I've got LJ working again. Thank you for your suggestion. In fact, a suggestion by nightengalesknd led me to discover that the problem was with the LJ 'theme' I was using. I'd been using that for years with no problem but suddenly, it didn't work properly. Now I've changed the 'theme' on friendly_crips and on my own page.
