Oh dear.
Stay away from Tube platforms til you can see the doc, they made me WAY uncomfortable when I was feeling so dizzy. Once you get your refill, even if it's at a lower dose than the 40 mg, you should be a-ok in a couple days.
It is less than fun and makes you realize just how much that stuff fucks with your brain...Wishing you the best.

Oh, if you're gonna get new pills on wednesday, go ahead and take it now or tomorrow morning. The faster your body gets that pharmacologically perfect dose, the quicker the symptoms of HATE will go away. If it's just gonna be another week til you get another dose, then don't bother, it's gonna be just as bad.

Ah, useful info from the voice of experience! Thanks very much. Have taken pills now. Have only 10mg left til Wed am, but should be enough as only 36 hours between now & next dose, hopefully.

Hope my advice helped, and I hope you're doing ok. The experience of withdrawal from citalopram was most unpleasant, I don't wish it on anyone!

Well, I hope I don't have to do it just yet; it was an accident! Thanks so much for your input, it has been v helpful.

Can you get an emergency prescription of some kind?

I've been on citalopram, and you need to reduce the dose gradually if you want to stop taking it, so missing several days doesn't sound good.

Sadly not. When I rang the doctor's surgery on Monday, the earliest appointment they could give me was Wed, and they wouldn't take a request over the phone.

It's not too bad other than the dizziness, though; appointment tomorrow.
