But Teague had merely puffed on his pipe and said quietly, “’Tweren’t that battle I were talking about.”
Hee! Perceptive old boy, inne?
Jack gripped the helm, his gaze fixed dead ahead. “Think we both know what me answer to that’s goin’ to be, mate.”
Why, Jack, whatever has you in such a hurry.....
Jack’s hand passed gently over the worn wood of the ship’s wheel. “That’s my girl,” he whispered, with a smile.
Gah, I love those moments between him and the Pearl. She'll always be his first love, eh?
“She ain’t here, boy.”
Jack frowned at him. “Don’t know what you mean,” he said, with a pout
BWAH! Teague is perfect here - I can see him almost rolling his eyes at Jack's pretended ignorance.
The doors flew open and a breathless voice said, “Captain Teague, why did no one alert me to the return of…?” Elizabeth’s sharp voice tailed off as her gaze settled on Jack.Hee! Slow down there, young one, and rein in that eagerness a touch. It wouldn't do for the King to be so completely

Gah, no worries at all - did you get my message about my dead computer? Blech. I'm trying to make some progress while I'm at work but it's slow going. Speaking of porn, you're nearly at that chapter, I believe. ;-)
*fans self* Well, that was...wow. The imagery of the two of them against the Galleon, combined with the heady description of the rain and heat around them, is just breathtaking. I love how Teague arranged the little meet and greet, and how both Jack and Liz realized that they were both rash in their decelerations last time. Great update. Looking forward to the last part.

And poor Jack indeed. I'd be happy to offer him a comforting hug (for starters ;)).
Started Ch.3 but not very far into it so far. Been too focussed on this other thing I'm writing, hehe.

I think they've moved on frmo the anger that existed between them before but there's still a lot unsaid. Ch.3 will deal with that.
