I do believe it's a series :-) It did leave me reeling a bit, but in a good way. Flashforward is awesome, too - Jack Davenport! John Cho! Twisty-plot, angst galore, and really well-written.
A series! Yey! I think they tried to set up a lot of the base elements of the original within too short a space of time - lizard faces, fifth column, earth sympathisers etc - and the pilot really deserved an hour and a half.
The original show was my childhood obsession and stuff of nightmares (I've never quite got over the gerbil eating!) and I went in to this one pretty cynical, but overall I was pretty impressed with how they managed to deliver their own spin on the story.
Flashforward, unfortunately, has been leaving me a bit cold. I'm finding it all a bit boring to be honest (especially the endless repetitions of the same flashforwards), however I haven't watched MOnday's ep yet andhave heard that it's pretty good, so I'm going to stick it out till the end.
