I will confess to not having read it myself, but from what I understand the relationships in the Twilight series are shallow and mutually abusive, as opposed to romantic.

The main problem is Bella really. She's so damn needy and clingy and "OMG I LOVE YOOOOOU". The other relationships are much more stable or not really expanded on that much.
