And for some reason, I giggled at the "every centimeter of that 24 inches" just because they were two different systems of measurement.

But yeah, I really liked it. How she meant to startle him, and he scared her, and then how she was looking at him and really seeing, and the lead up to the kiss...marvelous. Extremely well-written and utterly fantastic.
