Give Me Your Lips for Just a Moment; And My Imagination Will Make the Moment Live

Aug 10, 2010 08:08

People around me are getting engaged and married (thankfully, none of them shotgun). My father is asking me if I'm seeing someone. I tell him, "Yes, I'm seeing my clients. One at 10:00 AM and another at 3:00PM."

Witty, aren't I? < /sarcasm ( Read more... )

Badfic is something I notice once fandom seems to settle. It's like, the good writers have sort of done their part, and now all the stupid ones come out of the woodwork to add their two crappy cents. Remember, there is always a reason no one has written an idea before - usually because that idea is crap!

Hahaha... an idea is one thing. But how they write the idea out is another. It's like, they ignore the rules of physics and common sense just for a particular incident to happen. Like d'oh. -_-

They need someone to slap them silly. I don't care if they cry. It's for the betterment of humanity.

Oh god I hate the ones where everyone cries. Someone gets it into their heads that "if person A had a mini-breakdown like a soppy housewife, person B can comfort and have hot sex with them" never mind that maybe person A never breaks down like a housewife, thanks very much. XD

Exactly! I was reading a bunch of CSI fics, and just because the character was female they would automatically react to some incident with a gasp, a "what!?", and subsequently they'll let "tears flow freely...".

I think as long as it's a country in Asia, tall girls like us are going to have a difficult time. I think it's the quality of men here really. When I was in the U.K, guys shorter than me asked me out. Now that's confidence. Also if you were independent and did your own thing? They liked that even better. And that was so damn attractive!

We so need to import such guys here or export ourselves over there.

And the worse part is, we're not even *that* tall. Just that Asian guys are generally... shorter and have been brought up to perceive woman as baby making machines.

I say we export ourselves.

I say Canada. Just because. =)

Hahaha... I must know which country you're from so I can cross it off my "export myself over there" list. XD
I think parents are just dying for us to get married and have kids so that they can get some revenge on us. -_-

I'm still sticking with the revenge theory, but the loneliness thing is quite possible, too. ;)

I think guys are taller over here. Come on over, you can stay in the spare bedroom and we'll bring a new man around every three or four days or so -- if he doesn't like your screwdriver use, to heck with him.

I saw a former classmate not too long ago (from when we were around 8-10 years old). We talked a little and I swear the first question out of her mouth was "Do you have kids?"

And I haven't read fanfics in so long. I think I'm finally officially cured. *g* I have a feeling I'm not missing much.

Yet she never asked, are you married? Or did she just assume?

There are still some rare gems, but bleh... you'll have to dig through a tonne of writers you'd like to crucify.

No, that was the second question. Gotta love those kind of run intos.
