a guide to XF fic on LJ

ETA: Be sure to read the comments for more links! I'm too lazy to add them to the main post, but they are there if you scroll down all the way. :D But it's not at all up to date even with that - if you want to make sure you read the new authors after you read these people, check out phile_files.
Two things led to my idea for this post ( Read more... )

*is still hiding in her "LA LA LA I TOTALLY DIDN'T LOSE MY MIND AND POST XF FIC" corner*

Also, I believe the lovely Marguerite is megwriting on LJ, but I don't know whether she's posted anything to LJ.

I feel a bit silly letting you know about mine, but I'll do it anyway. In January, I wrote "The Giver of What's Due," set in season 7, found here: http://maidenjedi.livejournal.com/588058.html

And there is older XF fic on my LJ.

No, thank you! I wanted people to point out the stuff I missed, whether it's theirs or someone else's. :) I'll go and add it.

some more "classic" xf authors on LJ maidenjedi April 8 2008, 13:58:21 UTC
A couple of other authors:

Bardsmaid (wrote and is still writing Krycek/Marita stories): http://bardsmaid.livejournal.com

Vanzetti (wrote mostly Krycek stories, still writes occasionally): http://vaznetti.livejournal.com/tag/fanfic:xf

Sophia Jirafe (misc., older fic): http://sophia-helix.livejournal.com/tag/fic:+x-files

Thanks for this. I have never gotten used to reading fanfic on LJ and it's so hard to find. I know I'm missing out on really great fic and that bums me out.

Augh, I am probably never going to finish Threnody!

But I'm working on getting my website back up - I have penciled in this weekend to mess with that, so HOPEFULLY all those fics and vids and stuff will be linkable again soon.

And doing a fandom newsletter isn't too bad - I've gotten to where it takes me a bit over an hour to do thedailyreports, depending on fandom activity and how long I let it go between updates. It should be even easier with more help (alas that no one's stepped up to help me out yet .. even the girl who originally recruited me seems to have given up on it, SIGH) but anyway.

If you change phile_files to a comm, which might be easier, I think you'll lose all the old entries, so watch for that (if you care about keeping them, since they are, after all, OLD).
