How strange it is, to suddenly feel as if Discedo has calmed down despite the circumstances that continue to be norm. To grow used to this strange setting; could it possibly be a sin ( Read more... )

You know I don't have that kind of power, Oriya.

Please. That's just how it works, Kazutaka.

Where are you, anyway? It's kind of stupid for me to keep talking to you this way when I can just go see you in person.

In the hospital, of course. Do you miss me already?

I thought it might be beneficial for this mortal body of mine to make a post before it decides to retaliate.

I wonder if someone removed my chip without my knowledge.

Oh? And why do you wonder that, Mr. Sohma?

It would explain why I'm so sick, wouldn't it?

If you are able to communicate through this device then I assure you that you have not experienced the kind of sickness a removal brings, Mr. Sohma.

Everyone does chip removals. I'm fighting the popular trend and keeping my own.

It's an admirable stance to take. Is there a particular reason you wish to go against the trend?

No point in taking it out when I have nothing to suppress.

The idea of a foreign tool lodged somewhere deep within your body does not bother you? I find it disconcerting, myself, regardless of its immediate effects.

How unfortunate that removing something like that could cause such a terrible reaction. Do most people here eventually remove theirs, Signor?

I cannot speak for everyone, but I would think so.

Why, yes. As a doctor, the thought of having something foreign and unnecessary inside my body is quite disturbing.

I've had mine removed a week ago... and I'm hardly ill at all... just my magic seems ill. However, a close friend of mine died of a chip removal just before me... and I'm in much better health then we has.

Do you believe it may be a possibility that it may depend on the way it is removed?

That it itself may be a factor. It could also be a result of withdrawal, as the body has grown accustomed to the chip's presence in its system.

I thought that was what the day-whole sickness was. Wasn't that around before the infections started? Or perhaps when the chips were placed by the scientists, perhaps they were tainted somehow... it's hard to say unless we knew everyone who died from infection and found a link between them all...

Ah, forgive me. My mind was on the matter of the direct and normal effects that follows a chip removal.

I believe Dr. Yagokoro was able to find the very reason for the fatal infections; the scientific reason, that is. One cannot be sure what led to that abnormality and why it hasn't affected anyone recent.
